Wireless network setup trouble.. Help.?

I have a gateway mx7122, never had a problem connecting to wireless networks and now i can't. I checked under network connections and the wireless connection is no longer there. There are no networks actually, somehow they seem to have gotten deleted, how do I create the wireless network so I can get online?

I tried and the only thing I succeeded in doing is creating a LAN connection.

For wireless tips!
Reply:Sounds like your wireless network adapter might have been disabled.

Right click My Computer then click Properties, now click Hardware and select Device Manager. You are looking at network adapters and with any luck you will see you Wireless adapter with a red cross next to it, RIGHT click it and click enable.

It could have lost the driver for the same item in which case there will be an exclamation mark next to it. In this case RIGHT click the adapter and click on update driver.
Reply:Check around the case of the laptop for a tiny slide switch, wireless cards inbuilt normally have this, and it is very easy to catch it and slide it to the off position.
