Home network-Toshiba wireless laptop won't see other computers in network?

Been working on this forever, finally got the 2 home desktop pcs to see each other on the network with the 'view workgroup' option and they share/print files but my new Toshiba Satellite laptop does not see the other computers.

-I am using EZ trust firewall. I added other pc IP addresses in the trust zone.

-I tried both the home network wizard and the wireless network wizard.

Any suggestions?

Can you ping the other computers?
Reply:Set static ip address on all PCs with the same subnet mask ex..

192.168.1.2,3%26amp;4 or what ever ip address you preffer and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 also modify the host file C:\window\system32\drivers\etc\host..... right click the file and open it with notepad or word pad, scroll all the way to the bottom of the file and you should see 127.0.0.1 localhost, below this you have to type 192.168.1.2 tab and then the name of you workgroup ex... 192.168.1.2 Home, hit enter and do the same to each pc or at least to the toshiba, remember to save after you have made changes to the host file and this should help you network you laptop.... reboot....
Reply:The wifi portion of the router/firewall has it's own built in firewall.

That keeps the wifi from corrupting the rest of the network. So, you need to punch holes (like opening ports, #80 at least, perhaps also #25).

Did you read the manual?

and, google . com? http://www.phenoelit.de/dpl/dpl.html has links as does http://yolinux.com and the official website.
