A friend of mine loaded something on his kubuntu linux machine that showed all downloaded images on a connected network. For example, we were all connected on a hub on the same 192.168.1.xxx network and I went to the page yahoo.com and he was able to see *all* the images being downloaded to my machine on his termal.
He refuses to tell me what it is (it's not wireshark btw) - do you have any idea? This is also NOT man-in-the-middle promiscous mode since he was given a dhcp-enabled IP from the main router - just like anyone else including me on the network...
Network security question?
Probably driftnet.
