Network upgrade question ?

I'm planning to upgrade my network because at the moment it is all wireless but the port forwarding on the router doesn't work

At the moment the cable comes in and goes to a modem and into the router.. I would like it to go to the modem and then to a junction where one cable goes off to the wireless router, 2 go to to pcs and the other goes into the other room where there's another junction which is for a wired network..

what can I use for the junctions and would port forwarding work on them?

would I be able to forward port 80 from the first junction to the second one which would forward it to the server?

would computers on the wireless network be able to access computers after the second junction?

Network upgrade question ?
Bro, I'd go with a router that has wireless built in as well as ports, most new ones come with 5 ports in the rear. Then plug the comps in as well as the cat-5 going to a standard 4 or 5 port hub.

Go with a linksys and stay with that brand on both devices, make sure you deactivate any Auto DHCP on the hub using only the router's system. If you still want the wireless separate, stick a standard linksys 5 port router in before, right after the modem.

But I'd go with that first setup, because you will have two devices to configure and keep track of the port settings and configurations.
