Network hard drive over the internet?

I have a network hard drive hooked up to one of the computers on my network. I can access it from any computer on my network, but is it possible to access it over the internet?

It's possible using port forwarding from your firewall/router to share the device directly, although I would probably recommend setting up an FTP server of some sorts and accessing it that way as then you get some added security. This is how I've accessed files from my home PC at work before.
Reply:No. Unless if you use pcAnywhere or VNC. Not sure about gotomyPC.
