Dish network svc?
let me answer you first question. The I'll answer the second.

How can you lose signal? Any high winds can turn the dish. It's like holding your hand outside a car window. Trees can grow. Another possibility is your LNBF is going bad. That's the thing on the antenna that looks like a "view finder."

I hope they told you that you can get a tech out their for about $35. Minus the credit they have to give you for time without service until the tech arrives. If you sign up for DHPP, all your equipment is covered under warrenty and you get the discounted tech call for $29. The DHPP is 5.99 a month. Be sure to read section 9 of the DHPP terms and conditions at the first link provided below.

You can also call a local retailer in your area. Sometimes they can be cheaper and quicker.

If you feeling brave, you can do the following:. However, keep in mind, once DISH knows you've done this, then the full service call charge of $99 will try to be charged. Press Menu, 6, 1, 1 on your remote. This takes you to the "point dish" screen. Select "peak angels" from there enter your zip code. The elevation, azmiuth and skew are listed here. Align your dish with these settings and you should get a signal. You won't get it on your first shot. One person moves the antenna and the other looks at the signal strength screen. Only move the dish about 1/4 inch before rechecking signal.

The second links is to a sections techs are given to help customers install their own dish.
