Help with wireless network in home!?

i have a wireless network set up in my home. i use my laptop on it. i just unplugged it and plugged it back in and now on my laptop, when i go to connect to my network, my network it no longer there. i tried turning it on/off, messing around with the main host computer (which is working fine) but now my laptop wont access the network i was once using.

do i have to set up a new network? how can i fix this? my old network was also security protected and i want it to be like that again. how do i fix this? im totally stumped.

if you are using windows ...

find the change setting to the left in your available networks.

find your networks an go from there.

your network was probably set to not broadcast...which is good.

then type in your wep/wap key.

If you do not know that, you'lkl have to set up again

what kind of router do you have?
Reply:I've seen where wireless network cards get disabled when a laptop switches to battery power. This may have happened to you. Check your network connections to see if wireless is disabled. If it is. check you bios settings or power settings to see if the laptop is set to disable wireless when on battery.
